I'm not a school councelor, but I would definitely say to take as many classes as you can in high school to maintain a firm grasp on what high school is supposed to teach us. Strong roots I believe is whats going to make or break your career in fasion. I'm sure that you have an idea already of what you need, so just get the most out of everything highschool has to offer, and talk to a councelor, and they may be able to get you some after school college courses to begin the long journey of the fasion world. You may want to start with journalism courses. As a way in it may be a step by step way to up your understanding of the fassion world. This approach will allow you to make connections, and also allow you to familiarize yourself with the "insides" of the business, because I'm sure there are many fields of work in the fassion industry. I hope that helped.

If you are trying to get into a really prestigious college it would matter more.
The world of fashion is a great career choice for both women and men. There are many good schools that teach fashion design and other assets of the fashion world, and some of those schools can even be attended while at home. These are the online fashion schools. An online fashion school can offer practically the same degrees as a four-year college. The student can go for a certificate, associate's, bachelor's or master's degree in fashion. Many students may find it difficult to imagine attending an online fashion school since the clothes and accessories are online instead of right there for the touch. However, with advanced technology of today, graphic design can create fashion right on the screen without having to be there in person. When choosing the right online fashion school, there should be several programs that the school offers. Fashion Design is necessary, of course, but the school should also offer Fashion Marketing, Fashion Merchandising and Fashion & Retail Management. Everyone who wants to join the fashion world doesn't need to know how to design. The other programs are also there for the student who wishes to get into the business of fashion. These are the programs that a credible online fashion school will offer. Besides offering the different degrees and programs, a reputable online fashion school should also be able to assist with portfolio development in several unique design and art majors. The instructors should be well-versed in the fashion industry with a fashion background themselves. It is smart to do research to find out who is hiring students from a particular online fashion school. When a school shows a successful employment rate and those students are in professional jobs with impressive companies in the fashion world, that school is one that should be considered. For those who simply want to concentrate on one aspect of a fashion career, there are also online fashion schools that will be able to offer just one course. This is also perfect for those who are already in the fashion industry and wish to expand that knowledge.
