For a fancy dress party, go to the thrift shop or rummage bin shop. Look in the ladies evening wear for a suitable dress...and try it on! Get shoes, a hand bag, and a hat if you want one. The handbag is for your wallet as ladies evening attire does not have pockets. Most evening dresses have built in support garments, so stuff the bra with kleenex for the rounded look. You will need to purchase knee stockings for your shoes, pantyhose will not be comfortable to you. Final touches...fingernail polish, some mascara, and a bit of lipstick. Use the lipstick to rouge your cheeks, and get some cheap eyeshadow. That's it for the makeup. If you choose to wear a wig, it is best to try for the rummage shop first because a wig shop will charge upwards of $100 for the wig. Consider if you need a shawl for your dress...things can get chilly in the evening. And there you have it, the list for the dress ball.
