∙ 14y agoThe final clue and probably the only clue to the double helical form of the DNA molecule was Rosalind Franklin's photograph #51 which Watson and Crick artfully stole and claimed the information as their own.
James Watson and Francis Crick couldn't even make a feasable model using the information (probably because they didn't truly understand it), but eventually took full credit for the discovery. Both were awarded a Nobel Prize for "their" discovery, in 1961, 3 years after the death of Dr. Franklin She was not awarded a Nobel Prize, because the Nobel organization "does not award prizes posthumously".
