Unplug your battery, pull off the connector, unscrew the bolt and remove the switch then replace and work backwards.
You cannot physically put a clutch disk in backwards unless you force it together. If you do this you will destroy the clutch disc and possibly other clutch components.
There is no "distributor" on a 350z.

how many miles on car sounds like you may have slipping clutch if so there is no adjustmants you need to replace clutch assembly

Yes, all 350Z are RWD.
You take out the transmissioon, take out the clutch, put a new one in, and put the transmission back in.
