In most countries outside of the United States after completing you schooling you will need 6 years in Medical school to qualify as a doctor then another 7 years to specialize to become a specialist. However, in the United States, medical school is 4 years after college, then another 3-7 years for residency. More years may be added on for specialization after residency.

First of all, you need a High School Diploma. Next you will have to complete four years at a college or university to earn a BS or BA degree usually with a strong emphasis on basic sciences, such as biology, chemistry, and physics. Then, you will need to complete four years of education at one of the U.S. medical schools consisting of preclinical and clinical parts. After completing medical school, students earn their doctor of medicine degrees (MDs). After that you must attend the residency program. It's a program where newly graduated MDs enter to complete additional training before practicing on their own as a physician. And that takes three to seven years or more of professional training under the supervision of senior physician educators. The length of residency training actually depends on the specialty you will choose like family practice, internal medicine, and pediatrics. And at last, this is an option for some doctors who want to become highly specialized in a particular field, such as gastroenterology, a subspecialty of internal medicine and pediatrics. So, this will take them one to three years of additional training in a subspecialty. That is it and Goodluck with your career!

Are you serious? You don't need any classes to become a surgeon...you need training and to be licensed. Now, how do you do that? You go to college and study Biology and the pre-med program, then you do your MCAT, then you apply to medical school, and finally you train.
