Kurt Cobain didn't like school at all. In fact, I think he hated it alot. He managed to pass through high school but that's it. He was very very creative and especially artistic. He was offered an art scholarship but refused. The reason he hated it so much was because he was sick and fed up with all the "macho" people. He hated them the most because he would always be bullied up and teased because he wasn't like them and also because everyone knew that Kurt had a gay friend, and that gave other people at school the accusation that maybe he was gay. And people at his school weren't too kind about gay people. But because of things like that..It made Kurt passionate about gay rights.

Kurt did not go to a music school prior to his fronting Nirvana. Kurt struggled through high school and did not end up completing his high school diploma quitting 2 weeks before graduation after realizing he did not have enough credits.
