Why did Kurt Cobain dye his hair?

User Avatar
Because he felt like it, and he could. Not by necessity, he was his healthy natural blond by the time he bit the bullet at the ripe old age of 27. Fun fact: during Courtney's pregnancy with Frances Bean Cobain, she wanted to dye her hair but was advised not to so Kurt had his hair a deep, unnatural red until Frances was born. After the birth of their daughter, Courtney went to the red color and Kurt back to his natural hair. Of course he dyed his hair in multiple other occasions, but I think this one was the sweetest.

Obviously it's a personal opinion...but I would defiantly recommend Marilyn Manson if you want to feed your anger and Nirvana if you want to...look at it on a deeper level and see that your not alone in your fury.

If you have been out of work for 2 years due to severe mental issues from witnessing 9-11 should you try to hide this from new employers?

User Avatar
An employer can ask about anything; when I ask some experts regarding this question a more "acceptably" answer seemed to be that personal problems were being attended to and now that things were better I was ready to go back to work. If you have had severe issues for two years maybe you need to look at the suggestions on disability .gov new site. It answers so many questions as well as having resources to answer more.

How did Kurt Cobain die?

User Avatar
The official version is that Kurt Cobain's death was a suicide. On the death certificate the coroner listed a "contact perforating shotgun wound to the head" as the cause of death and ruled it a suicide. Some people believe that Cobain's death was a murder rather than a suicide. Many of those who hold with this school of thought also believe Courtney Love may have had something to do with it, potentially to get custody of their daughter, Frances Bean Cobain. Cobain's friends and family are also divided on the subject. The following evidence is claimed to be ambiguous and to cast doubt on the suicide: - Kurt was left handed and the gun was found in his right hand. - There were no legible fingerprints on the gun. - The second part of the "suicide" note is questioned by handwriting experts. - Kurt had an overdose of heroin in his system which could have rendered him physically incapable of shooting himself. - A man passed a lie detector test while stating that Courtney Love had previously offered money for him to kill Kurt (which he declined). What is Nirvana?

User Avatar
Answer: Nirvana is the state of eternal happiness. Eternal happiness could be achieved by giving up worldly desires for things such as food and clothes and follow the Eightfold Path. Answer: Nirvana is the state (not a place) of being free from both suffering and the cycle of rebirth. It is an important concept to Buddhists and Jains. Nirvana is a Sanskrit word. It means "to cease blowing" or "extinguishing" implying that passions and desires are non-existent or "unbinding" implying that the mind is free. Along with freedom from physical needs, there is an implication that the is no attachment to maintaining a separate existence of self. Answer: Nirvana is recognition of the world as it is, without the bewilderment of the 3 ignorances. 1. When taking a body a person decides to be in that body. 2. There is now a separate self with separate experience and a unique mind. However, we are also part of the unity of awareness without the differentiation of a person. and without the object awareness of a person in a body. This ambivilant condition causes confusion. 3. In a constant attempt to resolve our confusion we assign meaning and importance and create our view of the world around us. We then wrongly assign our creation to others. These three ignorances taken together create bewilderment. It is this bewilderment that produces Samsara. Samsara is just what is from a bewildered view. Without bewilderment Samsara is Nirvana

If you have been trying a baby for 8 months and nothing has happened what should you do?

User Avatar
If you are over 30, go see a doctor. It could be nothing, but just in case. They say after 6 months, you should consult with your doctor. If you are under 30, wait until it's been a year without getting pregnant and then go see your doctor. It could be nothing, but those are the standard reccomendations. Just relax and give it a few more months. Good luck!

If you have an alcoholic parent and have been diagnosed with severe chronic depression how can you make sure your kids do not have these problems?

User Avatar
avoid exposing your children to exhibitors of alcoholism, foster an open environment for communication purposes to assist in identifying depression signs early, should they occur. this last suggestion is important, should the depression be purely resulting from nature. if that is so, hold no grudges to your parent, and recognise that any such inherited disadvantage is likely to have been diluted through the generation gap between your parent and children. think about what your parent did around you that may have led to your chronic depression - were they not present regularly, were they distant, did they concentrate excessively on their own enjoyment and not confront responsibilities. Provide your children with the opposite and should your depression be a circumstance of nurture, the possibility of it continuing into the lives of your children is significantly reduced. in summary: open communication should chronic depression be affecting your children, and a close relationship to reduce the likelihood of your children feeling displaced. chronic depression, as most psychological disorders, frequently affects once it has been triggered within an individual - acting in a manner whereby singular bouts of depression are less likely to occur therefore mitigates the potential for greater distress being incurred. not the best answer, but i wholly hope you are able to make the best of your situation. remember, you do not wish to control your children as such, merely recognise the affect parental behaviour generates through the parent-child relationship. children see actions at a base level, hence why parents are appreciated as role models, in early childhood development (say 0-11 years) children are extremely impressionable, and thus it of little surprise that it is generally within this period that children are susceptible to disorder and misinterpretation. Alcoholism and chronic depression are often genetic. This doesn't mean that it can't be controlled in your children. The above poster gave good advice regarding children's environment being changed. If the Alcoholic is troublesome, hard on the children and yourself it's best to get out of the relationship taking your children with you. Chronic depression can be resolved as I had it many years ago and was put on an antidepressant med that basically saved my life! To date I've never had to go back on them because I got counseling and learned the technique called 'Cognitive Therapy' which teaches you to deal with your stresses in life with a totally different set of tools. I use this method to this day and it works! My father (his father and brother) were alcoholics (his two sisters were not alcoholics) and on my mother's side her one brother and one sister were alcoholics. Although genetic my brother and I had seen enough to know what alcoholism can do to a family and as much as I loved my father (knowing alcoholism is an illness) it was tough for my brother and I. We vowed to NEVER over-do alcohol and he's 58 and I'm 65 and we have never broken that vow so that goes to show you that you can beat the gene pool! Because of the constant arguing between my parents regarding my father's alcoholism I didn't do well in school for the first three years and neither did my brother. It was probably because we were so concerned that my father might beat my mother up in their rages against each other as well as constantly talking about divorce so my brother and I got little sleep. When I think back now this must have caused some depression in my brother and I, but we didn't know it. It wasn't until I was in my early 30's I had to face up to my ghosts and I went and saw a psychologist and got all my anger, feelings of uselessness during that period of time when I was a child, and then the healing began. I was also given antidepressants for a period of time and have never had to go back to them again. My psychologist gave me the tools with Cognitive Therapy to deal with future stress. It's worked so far! Face the reality of your life, get counseling so you can bounce off your ideas or get ideas from your counselor on how to deal with your problem. Once you have left your alcoholic mate the depression should fade, but it will take time. Discuss different antidepressants with your doctor. Good luck & God Bless

What is nirvana most famous song?

User Avatar
Answer (1) *Smells Like Teen Spirit Answer (2) *Smells Like Teen Spirit, although it's quite different from their other songs and...to be honest, a lot of their other songs were better (Example(s)- Heart Shaped Box, Come as you Are, Lake of Fire, Polly, All Apologies, About a Girl, etc.) 3) "Lake of fire" was covered by Nirvana but was written by a band out of Arizona called Meat Puppets. The original can be heard on the album titled Meat Puppets II. Nirvana had the members of Meat Puppets as guests during their appearance on MTV Unplugged. Meat Puppets also had a moderate hit around that time titled "Backwater".

Yes, he wrote both of them. The drums and bassline, however, may have been done by his bandmates, although Kurt would often write their parts for them as well.

Kurt Cobain - Guitar Dave Grohl - Drums Krist Novoselic - Bass Pat Smear - Additional Guitar on Tour Cobain played both guitar parts for all of the albums and just recorded each separately until the addition of guitarist Pat Smear from 1993-1994, after the release of In Utero. Pat never played on an album and it's unsure if he would have written with them had Kurt not died.

What is the best Nirvana song?

User Avatar
Answers to this question are subject to opinion, however, the most popular song by Nirvana was "Smells Like Teen Spirit", off of their Nevermind album. (Which was their second official release). But this album was not Kurt Cobain's favorite album, so Smells Like Teen Spirit was probably not his favorite song. Other opinions: Drain You; it was Kurty's favourite to play live. The best way to figure out a band's best song is to ask the band themselves. Lithium Actually, The best song is "Smells Like Teen Spirit". After all, It was the # 1 song of the 90's! If you actually compare all the nirvana songs Come as you are is their best all around, teen spirit was the single that got them their fame but when it comes to the songs themselves C.A.Y.A. is the best! You can't really know what's the best Nirvana song. But it is NOT Smells like Teen Spirit. If you want to really know Nirvana,You have to get all their albums,Including the Unplugged, Nirvana didn't want that fame that Smells like teen spirit got them. They liked being underground. Cause they were touring even before Nevermind. People liked them. They made music and people liked it, But at that time (1989) They weren't famous Well, I love many of their songs especially rape me and drain you but i wouldn't know what song you like many ppl think a different song is cool I love all of their songs all of them have been my favorite at one point lithium. come as you are, Polly dumb, very ape, you know your right, in bloom, smells like teen spirit, heart shaped box, and rape me are some that come to mind at the moment. I'm probably the only one who thinks this, but i think drain you or lounge act, both from nevermind, is their best song. Almost every nirvana song is one of the best of all time in my opinion, but i would have to say either sappy, marigold (YES THIS IS AN ORIGINAL NIRVANA SONG, NOT FOO FIGHTERS), or aero zeppelin In my opinion i think Lounge Act by far becaues it got Kurt with a good vooice them him witha shouting vioce and everthing about that song is good!!! * Mine is probably Lake of Fire or All Apologies. I also really love Come as You Are (which is a bit stereotypical but...oh well.) It's hard to pick just one.
