It depends on the school and coach. Some schools allow 7th grade and up to be on Varsity, while others only allow 10th grade and up. Check with the schools coach.

Yes they take finals which arent that hard but they do count for your final grade
Grade forgiveness allows a student, usually in college, to retake a class to replace the grade attained in the last semester. Most colleges only allow a certain amount of credits to be retaken. I would suggest checking with your counselor.
