It doesn't really matter what trade school you go into. All that matters is if the school is accredited. But keep in mind if you go to a trade school most of the time the credits you earn wont transfer to a four year college, so if you wanted to advance in the field but needed a higher degree you would have to start out all over again. If you mind is set on a trade school though some good ones might be: Colorado Technical University, University of Phoenix, and ITT tech those are also nation wide so you can transfer to a different area if need be and don't have to worry about losing credits.
The qualifications for a police officer are set by state law. Many states do not require any college for police officers. The individual department may have more stringent standards.
In the US - although there are a few (very few) that have this pre-requisite, it is not absolutely necessary to attend college to become an entry-level police officer.
A police training academy (run by the police for people they have accepted for training).
To become a police detective, you have to first become a police officer. Requirements to become a police officer vary, and how you become a police officer varies depending on the state and the department. Most police departments require officers work at least 2 (usually more) years before being eligible to become a detective. Becoming a detective is usually a very competitive process. Although it's possible to become a police officer with just a high school diploma and going to the police academy, it's not the best course of preparation. Most police departments nowadays prefer a four year degree. http://www.allcriminaljusticeschools.com/criminal-justice-resources/police here you go, this is a summary of the common needs of a police officer official.
will do my job wholeheartedly, to the best of my ability
Actually many police stations require only that you receive your High School Diploma, and prefer an Associates degree (2 years of college). Some states also require police academy training, but the extensiveness of your education does not have to be very much in order to become a police officer. I would assume that animal cops have to receive extra training, to learn how to deal with certain situations without harming the animals.
Personally, it is my life's dream and ultimate goal to become a police officer. I can dream of no job better, more exciting or rewarding than becoming a member of law enforcement. You are always on your toes and help people, even when they may not want it. Being a police officer put you in the best spot to change your community for the better and make it safer for everybody.
Apply to the police academy in your state.

You can not take police academy classes online, as in order to become a certified police officer you must first pass a physical and written exam, which must be done in person.
