Cats are suitable for Halloween because they are witches pets
You will know later, while you're eating your candy, that somewhere out there is a black cat walking around :} While black cats have been burdened with the superstition that they're bad luck, I am aware of no correlation between black cats and Halloween except that, as bad luck sympols are scary, and Halloween is scary, black cats are associated with Halloween. However, there is no correlation between cats of any color and luck of any kind.

Traditionally the number one Halloween song is Monster Mash.
Orange is a very bright Halloween color, purple green and black are non-bright Halloween colors!
Toffee apples are traditionally eaten during Halloween because Halloween is celebrated at the same time as apple harvest festivals. A toffee apple used to be one of the most given treats at Halloween when it was still proper to give home made products.
Kids get candy when they go trick or treating.
Halloween Paper is a stationary with images associated with Halloween everything from black cats to a Jack O Lantern! It is used for invitations to Halloween Parties!
Most animals (such as bats, cats [usually black cats], wolves, spiders, rats, crows and ravens, etc.) are associated with Halloween because they are either nocturnal, dark in color and therefore associated with death, or associated with legends and monsters (bats = vampires, black cats = the familiars of witches or even witches themselves, wolves = werewolves, and spiders are just plain creepy. Also, crows and ravens are associated with death.)
Halloween lanterns are traditionally made from pumpkins; some people use plastic imitation pumpkins.
