Yes, there is a possibility that the NuvaRing can make your period come at an irregular time.
The early period may of been brea through bleeding or possibly even a withdrawal bleed. If you suspect pregnancy then perform a HPT in 2-3 weeks.
If NuvaRing® has been left in your vagina for up to one extra week (four weeks in total or less), remove it and insert a new contraceptive ring after a one-week ring-free break. If NuvaRing® has been left in place for more than four weeks, you may not be adequately protected against pregnancy and you must check to be sure you are not pregnant. If you know or suspect that you're pregnant, do not use NuvaRing®. If you are not pregnant, insert a new contraceptive ring. You must use an extra method of birth control, such as male condoms or spermicide, until the new NuvaRing® has been in place for seven days in a row. This is from the Nuva Ring's website.
Check this associated website, or just Google NuvaRing I just started the Nuva ring and leave it in for 4 weeks and then insert a new one. After talking to my doctor, she told me that the Nuva ring was approved by the FDA to be used continiously. The Nuva Ring is good for 34 days, if I remember correctly. So I have not had a period for the last 2 months. It has been great!
Yes
If the Nuvaring has been out for more than 4 hours, insert one immediately and use another form of contraceptive until ring has been in continuously for 7 days.
I just googled the same question...I brests hurt sooo badly and are def growing...I am 18 and have only been on nuva ring for 2 weeks..is the ring making my boobs grow?!
YES! most definatly. discharge is one reason some women go back to the pill. i have been on nuvaring for 3 months but it hasn't been to bad for me but discharge is completely normal.
If you used NuvaRing correctly last cycle, you don't need to use a backup method when inserting the new NuvaRing. If it's been more than seven days since you used NuvaRing, you need to use a backup until you've used the ring correctly for seven days.
You can breastfeed with or without NuvaRing in. If you are relying on NuvaRing for pregnancy prevention, taking it out to breastfeed is going to increase your risk for pregnancy. If you're breastfeeding while using NuvaRing, removing it for a few hours does nothing to improve your milk supply, but does make it less effective. Please contact your health care provider, pharmacist, or lactation consultant to discuss NuvaRing and breastfeeding, as it seems there has been some misunderstanding. NuvaRing may decrease milk volume, which could be important with a newborn. It does not affect the quality of the milk.
Sleepiness is indeed one of the possible side effects of NuvaRing. Others include headaches and cramps.
