Red
I'm 90% sure that a FBS(fasting glucose) is drawn into a SST(serum seperator tube) A.k.a. "tiger top".
It is called serum-separator-tube (SST) and it is dark yellow (just so there's no confusion there are two yellow tops when it comes to blood draws and the orders each go in and that is light yellow and dark yellow).

You are probably seeing the serum separator gel. After the blood in the tube clots, they spin it to separate the clot from the remaining fluid (serum). The gel will move in between the clot and the serum so they stay separated.

Blood Serum is the liquid portion of a blood clot.
Serum Serum
It could be either red top (to clot it) or Grey top (sodium fluoride or potassium oxalate added) which prevents RBC's from metabolising the glucose in the blood. There is also another one to separate the serum but I forgot the color. It might be "tiger top" or speckled.
