You should consult the map's legend. The most common marker for a mountain that I am aware of is a small triangle labeled with the mountain's name. Some maps may use different colors to indicate elevation, and the most common color scheme that I have seen has white or light grey for the highest elevations. However, this just indicates the elevation of the area; a high plain would be the same color as a mountain of the same height. The triangles are by far the more accurate indicator of the location of mountains.
Physical Map (cartography)
Topographie
a physical map shows mountains and rivers.
A physical map is the one that shows things like rivers, mountains and plateaus. The proper name for them however is a topographic maps.
topographic maps show elevation slope and relief. a physical map shows the features of earths landmasses using texture. hope this help!
A physical map shows natural features of the Earth such as mountains, rivers, and deserts, while a political map shows boundaries, cities, and countries. Physical maps focus on geography and topography, whereas political maps focus on human-made elements like boundaries and administrative divisions.

A physical map shows the weathering of mountains, displaying the natural features of the Earth's surface, including mountains, valleys, rivers, and lakes. The changes in elevation due to weathering processes such as erosion can be seen on physical maps.
Topographic maps show mountains and lakes with contour lines to represent elevation changes and symbols to represent bodies of water. These maps provide detailed information about the terrain, including the shape and height of the land and the location of water features like lakes and rivers.
Mountains are typically depicted in shades of brown or gray on world maps to differentiate them from lower elevation areas such as plains or valleys. These colors help to provide a visual representation of the varying terrain and topography across different regions of the world.

A bathymetric map shows the depth of bodies of water, including oceans, seas, and lakes. It represents underwater features such as mountains, valleys, and plains, often using contour lines or color gradients to indicate varying depths. These maps are essential for navigation, marine research, and understanding underwater ecosystems.
