Black, denim (stonewashed or dark), or chocolate brown.
I wasn't trying to "improve" the answer...just add my opinion...but there was only an "improve" option (I'm new to here, as well, so if I could have added my own separate answer, I'm not quite sure how!). I was just now looking up the same question (what would go with a burgundy top) to see what I could find.
Anyhow, I think that very pale blue/turquoise would work, and also pale sage green, white(if paired with darker accents), yellow-cream, and gold or a rich golden brown. I actually also like pink with burgundy. Very pale grey might also work. I''m just trying to think of all the possibilities, myself, because I'm going to purchase a lovely burgundy cowl neck top...so I'm contemplating everything that might work :)

Ordinarily, no, one would wear black shoes with a leopard print skirt or perhaps a tan that matched the beige in the skirt. However burgundy is not a total washout as you could wear burgundy shoes if you had a burgundy top or jacket.
Burgundy.
Dark red orange or burgundy
Yes, Because it's OPTIONAL. And Burgundy is close to black with it being lighter.
You would want a light brown or beige it all depends on what room it is and what colors you like. I have burgundy ones and they look awesome. If you wore dark brown pants, what color top/shirt would you wear?... Hope this helps....
I would go with a neutral color like brown or white
None. go naked. Wear sum nice yellow pumps or heels that match the shirt and throw on some dark accessories such as some black bracelets , necklace, and some earrings.
nude pumps
Black Or Brown
blue flats
Sure, lots do.
A red burgundy shirt would match pants that are white, black, gray, or even tan in coloring. You could also wear a burgundy or red shirt with some variations of brown depending on the actual tone of the shirt.
