If you breed a black horse and a gray horse, you can get quite a variety of colors. If the gray horse has a black base (was born black), then the offspring will either be black or black-based gray. If the gray horse is chestnut-based or bay-based, however, you can get black, chestnut, bay, black-based gray, chestnut-based gray, or bay-based gray.
It's most likely that the gray horse is black-based, though genetic testing would probably be required to find out for sure.
Roan can be Rnrn (heterozygous) or RnRn (homozygous). If either parent is
homozygous 100 percent of the foals produced will be roan.
If both parents are heterozygous 75 percent will be roan and 25 percent will be solid colored.
Since there is no metion of the base color of the parents only the roan component
can be assessed here.
You can't breed certain colored horses to get a certain color foal. Therefore, the foal's color is a mystery until it is born
Horse color is determined by genetics! Sorrel/chestnut is reccesive and requiers two copies of the gene to reproduce itself so you would be best going with two sorrel horses to get a sorrel foal.
If the mare is sorrel and homozygous for her spotting pattern the foal will be a sorrel or chestnut horse with pinto coloration.
If the mare is any other base color the color of the foal will hinge in the genetics of the mare at the Agouti and extension sites and the alleles the stallion has at the Agouti site.
If the mare is heterozygous for her spotting pattern the foal will have a 50% chance of being spotted as well.
100% Sorrel

It varies with the horse, but generally you will get a dark grey colt or filly. This is because the genes of the darker horse will make your foal a darker colour but the lighter of the pair kepps the colour from becoming completely black. Example: Cremello Stallion x Chestnut Mare = Either buckskin or palomino.
it depends on the cats genetics, the most likely pair would be gray or black tuxedos or black or gray patch. black is a more dominant color so you most likely will have black
Is the horse really white or is it a gray that has faded with age. Gray horses start out life black, bay, even chestnut, but all fade into grays. Several breeds come to mind and one of them is the Percheron. Gray is the most common color for this breed. Another is the Shire. This breed comes in a wide variety of colors, gray being one of them. Any of the draft breeds that have gray in their bloodlines could look white. The Lippizan is another breed that is predominantly gray but they are smaller in build and height. There other possiblilties but these would probably be the most common.
gray horses have gray or black skin but may have some pink skin around their mouth and nose.
The horse of Santiago was gray because he had a dark colored nose. To be an official white horse...the horse has to have a pink nose.
A darker color of gray or a color mostly black, if you do it right. It also depends on what shade of gray you are mixing with the black.
A true, non-fading black horse is rare and very beautiful. Plus, they aren't prone to stains and color fade. There isn't another color that shines as nicely as a nice rich black coat. Also, any color tack looks good on a black horse, even white. ----------------------------------- Black horses are very good horses, I must agree. If you are going black, then I'd suggest a Frisian. They are always black. I think that Dark Bays are also great colors. Appaloosa colors are great too. Heck, all horse colors are great. Don't buy a horse for its color. Buy the horse for the horse. I wouldn't worry about the color. If you have the best tempered horse in the world and its a great riding horse but has a SUPER ugly color... who cares? You got the best horse ever. But if you go and buy horses for their color, you might end up with a beautiful horse with a nasty temper. You'll find yourself falling out of the saddle more then staying in it.
i like a white horse, but that is just my opinion. other people like other colors. I like dapple gray, bay and black. I like just about any color
probaly black or dark gray
The Giara horse mostly comes in Bay, Chestnut and black.
sorrel is redish/brown and grullo is gray with black leg and wither stripes
