I had a 1956 Mainline which friends called the gray ghost. It had the traditional 'half-crome" -- the chrome only ran from the back fender to the door (it was a 2-door). The back windows would not roll down -- no cranks. I never heard an identifier associated with the gray paint -- just gray. The 272 engine had 167,000 on it when the frame finally rusted to the point that I did not feel safe. It came without a radio. The Grey paint was called Platinum Grey, Other Ford Aussie paint names were: Moonmist Yellow, Torch Red, Pacific Blue, Wavecrest White, Raven Black, Tahitian Green (Which is my Ute Color), Coral Red, Buckskin Tan, Norfolk Green, Twilight Blue. The interior may have been just plain Grey! There were four other interior colors to choose from. This information was taken from an original Aussie Ford Color swatch book.
