Fabulous question. Answer--Nobody knows. But there is every reason to believe they had colors and patterns. Artists often make up some patterns and colors for displays. These are just speculative.

No one really knows. It could have been any color but we assume green based on their similarities to modern repitles.

Knowing what colour dinosaurs were is almost impossible.

The process of fossilisation destroys the original bones, skin and muscles and all we have left is the impression of the original material in stone. We simply are unable to find out any details about skin pigment.

We can only make assumptions based on modern day relatives. Since Tyrannosaurus Rex was a large carnivorous reptile many people assume that it was green/brown and scaly similar to modern day lizards and crocodiles. However T-Rex like most other therapod dinosaurs are much more biologically related to birds than reptiles. Some evidence even suggest that T-Rex may have even been covered with downy like feathers. So asking what colour a T-Rex is as difficult to answer as someone asking what colour a bird is.

Nobody knows for sure, however if they were like most modern lizards in colour they would have been mostly gray, brown, or green, or some combination thereof.
