Ill posed question.
Since populations evolve and can have many different and changing strategies for survival and reproductive success, some variant within the population, tour question does not make any sense. Evolution is not linear, but branching from many, many points of departure.
A snake is a threat to a mouse for one reason. The one reason why a snake is a treat to a mouse is because that is what snakes eat.
Ewww. I dont know how you would know if a snake has a mouse stuck in it's throught but, you should call your local vet. ASAP!!

Well if it is a poisones snake they will bite the victim until it dies, but if it is a constrictor like rat snake for instant it will constrict the mouse until it is suffocated and then the snake will expand it jaw bone really big and will swallow it whole.

The snake is the predator and the mouse is the prey =] I think that was what you was looking for...

A rat could eat a snake.
I would say food chain.
Eating a frozen mouse can be bad for a snake. The extreme cold can hurt the snake, as it is cold blooded. And because the limbs are not flexible, the snake can be hurt internally.
I don't get your question but if you mean if you buy a mouse and feed it to a snake how long will it live then the answer is a couple minutes because the snake will soon sneak up on it and swallow it whole.
The first one that comes to mind is the Mangrove snake - see related link for a picture.
