What comet or asteroid will come close to the Earth in 2012?
Comets are difficult to predict; we currently know of no comets that will be visible in 2012, but new ones are discovered periodically.
No asteroids that we are aware of will approach the Earth very closely before April 13, 2029, when the asteroid Apophis will come fairly close the Earth. (But it will miss.)
There is no indication that a comet may hit the earth in the foreseeable future. NASA and other agencies are continually looking for and tracking celestial objects whose orbits may bring them relatively close to Earth. There could possibly be a comet-Earth collision some time in the next 10,000,000 to 100,000,000 years, but none is predicted. But in 2012 the earth may be hit by a small shower of meteorites
This asteroid does exist, found in less than two weeks before the Spanish La Sagra Observatory astronomer, 2012 DA14 just temporary number. Has been found to connect 10 days of observation, astronomers generally determined its orbit, similar to the Earth's orbit, but the inclination is large. Therefore, most of the time, the asteroid away from Earth came away. But it does have two opportunities each year the asteroid can run very close to the distance…
