Comets are difficult to predict; we currently know of no comets that will be visible in 2012, but new ones are discovered periodically.

No asteroids that we are aware of will approach the Earth very closely before April 13, 2029, when the asteroid Apophis will come fairly close the Earth. (But it will miss.)

No, a comet will NOT hit earth in 2012.

It was in February 2012 about a year before its close approach to Earth in February 2013.

No. The asteroid has passed, having missed Earth by about 17,000 miles. That's fairly close, but scientists new it would miss by about that much.

It may, or it may not. There is no particular reason to assume that a comet will crash into Earth precisely in 2012.

No, there is no comet coming near Earth in 2012. All of the 2012 stuff is just a hoax.

yes, the asteroid tauntless is a space rock which crosses orbits with earth every 'so many' years, it will come close to the planet but no actually collide with it though, (or let's hope it doesn't!)

yes, but the impact will be insignificant since the asteroid will be a small one.

There is no indication that a comet may hit the earth in the foreseeable future. NASA and other agencies are continually looking for and tracking celestial objects whose orbits may bring them relatively close to Earth. There could possibly be a comet-Earth collision some time in the next 10,000,000 to 100,000,000 years, but none is predicted. But in 2012 the earth may be hit by a small shower of meteorites

No significant asteroid will hit Earth in 2012. Asteroids hit Earth every year, most, if not all disinterate in the atmosphere. Only a few reach the surface. The 21st December 2012 myth is nothing more than a hoax.

no. 2012 end 0f the world is just a fiction movie.

Comet Electrical stores are located in United Kingdom but in 2012 Comet group had to close his buisness so Comet Electrical stores do not exist anymore.

This asteroid does exist, found in less than two weeks before the Spanish La Sagra Observatory astronomer, 2012 DA14 just temporary number. Has been found to connect 10 days of observation, astronomers generally determined its orbit, similar to the Earth's orbit, but the inclination is large. Therefore, most of the time, the asteroid away from Earth came away. But it does have two opportunities each year the asteroid can run very close to the distance of the Earth. Just said, year 2 chances will run to the near Earth asteroid. Last February 16 this year, when it was closest to the earth about 250 million kilometers, equivalent to the Earth-Moon distance of 6 times, partial, or very far. However, next year's February 15, 2012 DA14l indeed close to the Earth. It grazed from about 21,000 kilometers from the Earth's surface, the height of the geostationary orbit communications satellites used to broadcast television signals are low than us! Though this is really close to the Earth rub in the past, but still just "rub." In the past it does not hit the Earth. 21000 meters in astronomy scale is really close to the standards of everyday life, this distance is far enough. It is unlikely to hit the Earth in February 2012 DA14 next year.

One already has. 2012 DA14 passed about 17,000 miles from earth on February 13, 2013.

Most likely yes, but not in 2012. It will probably hit 2029 or 2036. BUT don't get worried. One asteroid cant hit the whole earth and destroy it. But be prepared. but that wont . Sorry this computer is dying

An asteroid might hit at any moment. There is no reason to believe that an asteroid will hit any time soon, though.

Everyone is saying it is but i dont think it will happen. We shall never know!!!!

There are no asteroids being tracked, observed, or studied that are in orbits in which their positions will coincide with the Earth's position at any time in 2012.

Well considering that it is 00:15 June 18, 2012, and it hasn't hit, I'd say no.

its 2012 and i think it might hit somewhere on the top of the earth, but im not so sure.

Answer Small Asteroids hit earth and burn up in the atmosphere almost ever year. There is no threat of a big one hitting Earth in this century. Answer The next asteroid is going to hit the earth either in 2009 going to 2012Its more likely to be in either 2009 or 2012

Scientists are not aware of any comet that may be visible in 2012. Not to say that ther won't be one - but we haven't discovered one yet.You may be getting worried about the FICTIONAL movie "2012". It's just a make-believe story.ANSWER:By the end of or probably January 2012. 433 Eros, the second-largest Near Earth Object on record (size 13×13×33 km) will pass Earth at 0.1790 astronomical units (26,778,019 km; 16,639,090 mi). NASA studied Eros with the NEAR Shoemaker probe launched on 1996-02-17.

It does not have an actual name, but it has the designation 2012 DA14

No one knows for sure. There is an Asteroid passing in 2012, which may be a concern ,as it will be nearly as close as the Moon. Whisker close, by astronomical standards. But this could change any day.no.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There are many different theories, for example one theory is that Nibiru (or Planet X) will pass so close to Earth destroying all life on it, (21st December 2012) while another theory is that another huge asteroid will hit the Earth, just as one did 64million years ago.
