To find the IP address of the primary WINS server, open up the 'cmd' command line prompt. Type /ipconfig into the command line and hit enter.
Option 1: You could always ping the server from the command line of the PC (assuming windows O/S). This will give you the current IP address of the server. If it displays a red X on the connection strength either that server is offline or your I.P. address is not correct. if you have windows 7 click run and enter the command (cmd) in the run box, then once you get to a black box enter the phrase (ipconfig) look for the default gateway and the ip should be there
