Starbucks has what is a debatable green letter t within it's logo. The logo itself is green and rests on a white background. Though the lettering for "Starbucks" it is actually white, it is a cutout from the green logo, and thus, when examined, can be taken as green.
In level 20 of the game Iconmania, Sony Ericsson has a white cross with a green background.

I'm making a flyer for a concert and what i mean by this is when you copy paste a logo from a sponsoring company or band logo you always get a white square background that comes with it. I have a picture background and only want the letters to show up. How do i eliminate this background? do I have to cut around each letter?
