What type of reaction is cracking?

Cracking is the name given to breaking up large hydrocarbon molecules into smaller and more useful bits. This is achieved by using high pressures and temperatures without a catalyst, or lower temperatures and pressures in the presence of a catalyst. The source of the large hydrocarbon molecules is often the naphtha fraction or the gas oil fraction from the fractional distillation of crude oil (petroleum). These fractions are obtained from the distillation process as liquids, but are re-vaporised before cracking. There isn't any single unique reaction happening in the cracker. The hydrocarbon molecules are broken up in a fairly random way to produce mixtures of smaller hydrocarbons, some of which have carbon-carbon double bonds. One possible reaction involving the hydrocarbon C15H32 might be:

What is the polarity of wax paper?

wax paper itself is neutral. however the molecules are polar, just like water.

Does LPG comes from methane gas?

Light hydrocarbons (methane, ethane, propane, butane, etc.) are generally gases at normal temperatures and pressures. With the exception of methane they can be easily turned into liquids when cooled or stored under pressure. All these gases are present in natural gas or the gas fraction of petroleum oils. They are also created during the fractionation, cracking and reforming processes at refineries. Once liquefied ethane, propane and butane are called. LPGs (Liquefied Petroleum Gases) Methane is not generally considered an LPG although it can be liquefied at high pressures and low temperatures. All the gases come from the same source

A compound of iodine and cesium contains 63.80 g of metal and 63.25 g of nonmetal. How many grams of cesium are in 35.76 g of compound?

Total mass is 63.80+63.25 cesium fraction is 63.80/127.05=.5022 iodine fraction is 63.25/127.05=.4978 compound total is 35.76*.5022=17.96g cesium 35.76*.4978=17.80g iodine
