What constitutes unpardonable sin and if it has to do with denial of the holy spirit please explain what this means?

The Bible contradicts itself at many points about sin. For instance there are two different sets of the 10 commandments in the bible. The bible also says you can keep slaves and you should slaughter all of your enemies men, women and children but "You shall not boil a kid in its mother's milk". The only consistent moral message in the bible is that you must have faith and be obedient to the church. The worst possible sin therefore is to reject your faith and convert to another religion or become a non believer. This is known as denial of the holy spirit.

"...All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit shall not be forgiven unto men." (Matt.12:31)

The Holy Spirit is the POWER OF GOD the Father. Such power is not to be trifled with. It's Sacred, Holy and highly prized by the Father... and it's not GIVEN LIGHTLY!

And indeed, He does give it to some men. Not many... only those who:

"...repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and YE SHALL RECEIVE THE GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT." (Acts 2:38)

So, not just ANYBODY can blaspheme against the Holy Spirit. Only those who HAVE IT DWELLING WITHIN THEM are capable of the unpardonable sin. So, in order to understand how to blaspheme against it... one needs to know what the indwelling of the Holy Spirit really is, as well as what it is not.

The Holy Spirit is God's "EARNEST," given to men. An "earnest" is a "valued token" given in a "business deal" as a "pledge" not to renege or welch on the deal. It is a valued item of "promise" temporarily given to "seal" the deal until the full terms of it is completed.

Such is God's promise of salvation... despite what men might think. It's not yet fulfilled. Like "birth"... salvation (being given eternal life) is a growth and developmental process that won't be completed until we "put on immortality" as revealed in I Corinthians 15. That doesn't happen until Jesus returns.

So, until Jesus returns to complete God's deal with His children to be given Eternal Life... God, the Purchaser, gives man, the purchasee, the EARNEST of His Holy Spirit to "seal" the deal until it's fulfilled.

"...Now He which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; Who hath also SEALED us, and given us THE EARNEST OF THE SPIRIT IN OUR HEARTS." (II Cor.1:21-22)

The Holy Spirit, that men are given to seal God's promise in them... is not theirs. It is a VALUED IMMORTAL TOKEN OF PLEDGE God has given to them on loan until they are each given their own immortality at their birth when Jesus returns.

"...and unto them that look for Him shall He appear the second time without sin UNTO SALVATION." (Heb.9:28)

The Holy Spirit imparts to the human spirit God the Father's nature. It reveals God's wisdom, knowledge and understanding that feeds, nourishes and sustains the growing, developing Child of God within the man. It makes a man "one" with God, as Jesus is "one" with His Father... because the Father has become the man's Father, also.

"...Holy Father, keep through Thine own name those whom Thou hast given Me, that they may be one, as we are." (John 17:11)

The Holy Spirit dwelling in man is the highly prized piece of God Himself living in man. And the man must never blaspheme against this "earnest" of God and the "purchase agreement" they have made with each other: the agreement being, God's promise of Eternal Life in return for the very same things He's always commanded in all of His covenant offers - OBEDIENCE TO HIS VOICE! To obey His Commandments.

Childbirth is a "struggle"... for the child and for the mother. The proper nourishment must be maintained for it to grow healthy and strong... and the Holy Spirit provides God's Truth to the human spirit for Godly character development. And it's a struggle to overcome the pulls of the flesh and the world... to learn to live morally and righteously, which is in opposition to living carnal mindedly - the natural way of sinful man.

The man with God's Holy Spirit in him must NEVER QUIT ON GOD! Man must never give up his struggle to be born. He must never surrender his faith.

THAT IS BLASPHEMING AGAINST THE EARNEST OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

"...That we should be to the praise of His glory, who first trusted in Christ. In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the Word of Truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, YE WERE SEALED WITH THAT HOLY SPIRIT OF PROMISE, which is THE EARNEST OF OUR INHERITANCE UNTIL THE REDEMPTION OF THE PURCHASED POSSESSION, unto the praise of His glory." (Eph.1:12-14)

"...ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, WAITING FOR THE ADOPTION, to wit, THE REDEMPTION OF OUR BODY. For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if WE HOPE FOR WHAT WE SEE NOT, then DO WE WITH PATIENCE WAIT FOR IT." (Rom.8:23-25)

"For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and HAVE TASTED THE HEAVENLY GIFT , and were made PARTAKERS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, and have tasted the good Word of God, and the powers of the world to come, IF THEY SHALL FALL AWAY (give up - quit), to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put Him to an open shame." (Heb.6:4-6)

That is the unpardonable sin.
