The single most productive professional development leap I took was to complete the requirements for the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards Certification.The process forced me to go out of my comfort zone,and stretched my mind to consider a vast array of possibilities I now believe that teachers create their own professional development, and do it in a more constructive environment.
