Insulin controls glucose levels in the blood. Those having Diabetes or suppose to become diabetic, their insulin secretion is erratic and are to take insulin injection to stable the glucose level in the blood.
Blood sugar levels are regulated by negative feedback which keeps the body in homeostasis. The levels of glucose are monitored by cells that are part of the pancreas.
The pancreas, a primary endocrine gland, secretes the hormone Glucagon, which in turn helps regulate blood sugar levels.
insulin
Insulin secreted by the pancreas.
What regulates blood sugar
Endogenous insulin (that produced within the body) regulates the level of blood sugar.
It controls the level of blood sugar. It to much sugar in the blood it helps to stire it in the liver. If too little in the blood then it helps to release sugar from thre liver. Insulin is naturally made in the pancreas.
The organ which produces insulin is the Pancreas (just below the stomach).
It regulates the metabolism of sugar in the blood.
pancrease
It regulates blood sugar
kidneysThe Pancrease through it's release of insulin into the body to breakdown or "utilize" the sugar.
There is no organ that makes sugar, necessarily. The organ that releases sugar, or helps with sugar absorption, is the pancreas. If this isn't working properly, it can result in blood sugar problems.
There are several organs and hormones that regulate the amount of sugar in the blood. Insulin, the pancreas, the liver, and glucagon are the major sugar regulators.
The pancreas administers and monitors blood sugar concentration.
