A temp sensor
If your car is anything like my 2001 intrepid, it is because only one of your radiator fans are coming on when the temp sensor tells your fans to turn on. You hear a fan kick on, but it is only one of them. There are two.
No/low coolant, bad thermostat, dirty/plugged radiator (inside and/or outside of it), air pocket in coolant, electric fan relay, temp switch for fans, bad fans.
Radiator plugged, radiator fans inoperative, thermostat failed, water pump failed, headgasket failure, etc.
You could have a bad water pump causing no coolant flow, inoperable radiator fans, a coolant leak,............
Yes
Mounted to the radiator near the top between the two fans, another set in the fuse panel under the hood. Check out dodgeintrepid.net for a ton of info on these cars.
remove the metal plate that covers the radiator, if you ever change a headlight blub, you already know which plate im speaking of... afterwards after disconnecting hoses transmission a/c lines just pull upwards, oh and disconnect plug to cooling fans it all comes out together ( fans, radiator, transmission cooler)
Motor cooling system? The engine cooling system consits of the water pump, radiator, hoses, cooling fans, etc.Motor cooling system? The engine cooling system consits of the water pump, radiator, hoses, cooling fans, etc.
it tells the computer weather it needs to kick you radiator fans into high gear to cool the coolant more or or if its ok fo rit to run normal speed
If standing in front of the car. Bottom left corner you will see a black knob like a stove nob. It drains slow as hell tho. It is below and to the left of the cooling fans.
Check that the coolant fans are still working, then check out the water pump.
yes but you must also change the fans !
