Ford offered the Mustang in four convertible models in 2002. These models varied by engine and trim offerings, with the Deluxe and Premium models coming standard with the 3.8L V6 engine, while the GT Deluxe and GT Premium versions both came with the big 4.6L V8 engine.
Ford Motor Company introduced the Mustang in 1964 and the 1967 Ford Mustang was the first redesign of the original model. It was offered in hardtop, fastback, and convertible, with the option of a V8 engine for the first time. The 1967 Mustang was slightly larger than the original, and offered a "Pony Interior" package that included brushed stainless steel interior trim, an adjustable steering wheel, and special interior paneling. The "High Country Special Mustang" was only offered in Denver, Colorado, and was available in both fastback and convertible in 1967.
The hardtop convertible has become very popular in recent years and a number of car manufacturers offer models with this feature. Mercedes, BMW, Peugeot, Vauxhall and Ford all offer hardtop convertible models.
A 1949 Ford Custom convertible cost $1,886.

Ford offer the Ford Fusion car which is hybrid. It was awarded the North American Car of the Year prize in 2011 as it pushed forward the frontier of hybrid technology.
The only Ford model currently being produced in convertible is the Mustang. I personally own a 2006 Mustang coupe and absolutely love it. The convertible is beautiful as well and also very reasonably priced. Also, the 2011 model is just coming out, the GT offers a 425 horsepower V8 if you'd like some power to go with the wind in your hair.
The MSRP for the 2010 Ford Mustang is $21,395. You can find one as low as around $19,000 due to the 2011 models being released.
Ford Models was created in 1946.
