It is certainly worth checking out. I suspect what you have is a benign (noncancerous) fatty tumor and nothing will be done. However it could be a foreign object, ganglion cyst or any number of other things. Next time you at your doctors office have him take a look.

∙ 13y agoi have the same exact problem and no it does not go away.. if anything it get sore every so now and then.. i never got it checked out but my husband and i was talking about it and we believe that it should be checked out.. very nervous but hopefully it is not anything too serious.. if u find out anything let me know.. tnx ...missy

It could be back mouse also known as lipoma. I have what feels like several movable lumps just above hip bone. From what I read, don't massage the lumps, as they are lumps of fat full of nerve endings, and will only hurt worse. Massage around them.
