usually, only thing that will make a diesel run poorly is a dirty air filter or a dirty fuel filter change both of these before anything else in winter fuel can gel causing poor preformance is also good habit to use fuel conditioner in vehicle at least every other tank of fuel. this will clean injectors, clean gunk out of tank, and prevent gelling in winter

Nothing could happen if you swallow diesel fuel. This fuel is poison and will cause you to get sick.
The catalytic converter
It COULD, but more likely it would just cause it to run poorly once it starts.
Absolutely - a clogged air filter can cause a car to idle poorly. You could also get poor gas economy and high emissions. Also, if the computer were not able to compensate for the high fuel mixture, you could set a code and/or destroy your catalytic converter.
Camshaft sensor is working intermittently, could cause a hard start or no start
Could be a number of reasons.. you could be losing compression, you could have a clogged diesel particulate filter (if so equipped), worn components... you'd need have have it inspected to narrow down the cause.
Might be a 7.3 Navistar 6.0 and 7.3 were sold in the f-650 and up you could get catipiler and cummins ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Cooper is right, in the F250-550, you could only get the 6.0 and 7.3 as Ford offered the two diesels that particular year. Phased out the 7.3. To get a cummins or Cat you had to buy a 650 or 750.
It can make the engine run so poorly that it seems like the transmission has problems. It can make the engine run so poorly that it seems like the transmission has problems.
An engine might sound like a diesel at operating temperature if the engine was a diesel or if there was an issue with the manifold. Sometimes gases escaping the manifold cover could cause the engine to sound different.
new injector pump
There are a few things that could cause this problem. It could be the wiring to the alternator, the alternator solenoid, or the wiring.?æ
