fuel rail leaking or on the fuel side of rail there is a "O" ring in line to seal it from leaks. if it is leaking, release fuel pressure from system, take out main fuel line to fuel rail and replace "O" ring on end of line.
YES
A handful of things could cause this. But I'd say one of two; Blown Headgasket or a bad intake manifold gasket. Which the engine's of these cars are known for.
most likely an intake gasket
because the engine in that car does not cool down
You can tell if the transmission, in your 1998 Chevy Malibu, is going bad. If there is a whining or clunking noise. The transmission might cause your engine to install when you are stopped with your foot on the brake.
Stalling at idle? Immediately after starting? While driving? While stopping? Cold or hot engine? What engine do you have?
If the check engine light is illuminated, start with scanning for codes.
Crack in intake or exhust, or belt glazing- Check all the intake and exhust bolts.
i would like to know what would cause the miss firing in Chevy Malibu
The 1999 Chevy Malibu with the 2.4 engine does not use a PVC valve. Instead the system uses an oil/air separator that can clog up and cause the same symptoms.
There are pages and pages of things that can cause a check engine light. You need to have it checked with a scantool. Then the code can be diagnosed and repaired.
if its a v6 eng it could b a head or intake manifold gasket
