could be a bad fuel pump,or just a fuse or relay burnt out!!fuses and relay are in under hood fuse box.

It could be out of gas.
Theftlock is just for the radio, it shouldn't interfere with the car being able to start
1997 chev Malibu doesn't start but then if relay is wiggled by engine under hood car starts can this be fixed
Trouble code P0335 means: CKP Sensor Circuit Malfunction Replace the sensor and it should start up
The starter or battery could be weak. The weakness will cause the starter to turn too slowly to start the truck.
If a 1996 Chevrolet Cavalier will not start, it could very well be the fuel pump. It could also be the starter or battery.
loose or damaged wires in ignition system.intake manifold vacuum leaks in intake or hoses. or its not getting fuel to injectors.
It would be best to have a certified technician look at that as it can be quite complicated.
I had the same problem just a week ago with my 2000 Malibu. It was the fuel pump. The AAA man had me try to start it while he banged on the gas tank (below and behind the drivers seat) and the car started....I drove staright to the garage!
I am almost certain that the brake has nothing to do with it. I surely would check the fuel filter and replace it if you haven't in the past 2 years. If the check engine light is "ON" then have it diagnosed.
after replacing the stearing colum what would cause it not to start. You may have disconnected the ignition switch.
