Risks of an industrial include keloids, hypertrophic scarring, and infection. If cared for properly, none of these things should occur.

Can you get something clear to go in an industrial piercing?

You could get two individual clear plugs/bars. It'll be tough to find a clear bar long enough for an industrial.

Can you get your industrial pierced if you have your cartilage pierced?

You don't "get your industrial pierced" per se, since no part of the ear is called "industrial". An industrial piercing is just another type of cartilage piercing. Depending on the anatomy of your upper ear, you could potentially have quite a few piercings there, including an industrial and 1 or more helix piercings. If you already have a helix piercing and your piercer says it won't be in the way when s/he adds 2 holes on either side of it and puts in an industrial barbell, then absolutely, you can keep the helix piercing. Or, if the placement works out just right, you may only need to get a second hole and use that and the hole from your original helix piercing to place an industrial barbell through your ear. The best thing to do is to see a professional piercer and ask what the best option is based on the shape of your ear and the placement of your existing helix piercing. You could also visit our forum(link is below), post a photo of your ear, and see what piercers and other community members suggest.

Could your ear be disformed from an industrial piercing?

Industrials get easly infected but i cant say that your ear will be deformed. you may have to take it out if it rejects and get it redone. when u get it redone its gonna be less likely to. if you've never gotten a piercing you also run the risk of finding out you get keloids. but not many get those. but look up keloids if you don't know what they are.

Can you put an industrial ear piercing through your bottom lip If i could would i have to do it myself or could i get a profesianal and have them do it?

No, having an industrial in the bottom lip would not only look unappealing, but it would also be harder to heal. Why not just get two studs? It looks the same.

What type of equipment is used for an industrial piercing?

You know what, I wouldn't be too worried about what equipment is used for an industrial piercing. Why? Well see I am going to tell you that if you want and industrial piercing you better go to a professional body piercing studio and get it done there. Leave piercing to the professionals, the structures of the ear cartilage are complex and if the piercing is not laid out correctly and done correctly long term damage can be done. Lumps, bumps, irritation, bleeding are not things you want to experience Only a professional body piercer can layout the piercing and perform it without all the concerns you are going to have trying to do it yourself. I could go into all the medical terminology and list it all out, but you wouldn't understand it, so lets just say that a professional body piercer can take care of your request with a minimum of discomfort and maximum amount of satisfaction.
