Recently my 2000 ZX3 started to have problems with starting. It started just fine, I drove for about 15 minutes, shut off the vehicle. When i came back to restart it, It wouldn't restart. I had the vehicle jumpstarted and it started right up. My multi-function warning light came on (the Exclamation mark surrounded by the jagged circle), The vehicle is not over heating, I had the alternator checked and it was giving off 14.6 volts. It runs fine once it starts but as soon as it shuts off it wont start again. It wont even attempt to turn the engine over. I hooked up a spare battery to try and start the vehicle and 3 out of 4 attempts to turn the key i can hear the click of the starter. Once its hooked up to a running vehicle it starts immediatly. Some times while its running the Multi-function light will shut off but turn on immediatly and when it does it feels like the vehicle bogs down until the light goes off. Now the light is on all the time and I'm at a loss.

What year and model? I have a C220 and it has a multi-function relay located in the engine compartment top LHS fuse panel. You have to take off the fuse panel cover then remove the 6 screws around the perimeter of the housing and pull forward on the housing. The relays are there in the back.
