If you were legally present in the house, and took the card without the owner's permission, you would likely face a charge or larceny or theft dependent upon the exact wording of state law in the jurisdiction where the action occured.
Additional: If the card belonged to a member of your family, theoretically the family member could have you charged with theft but let's face reality . . . they probably won't. However, they would be responsible for the debt. What this might to your family relationship situation . . . you would have to live with.
