The only country i know they invaded was Abyssinia(ethiopia) although that was pre WW2 1935-36. I never heard of any countries that Italy itself invaded although i believe i read some where they tried and failed at invading southern France and Greece
In 1935, Italy invaded Ethiopia. This lead to international alienation and a withdrawl from the League of Nations for the Italians.
On 7 April, 1939, Italy invaded Albania. Albania was self-ruled but it depended on Italy for protection. Mussolini considered this a "family matter" and did not involve Germany or any other neighboring country in his move to gain more territory.
Hungary and Italy
Ethiopia also known as Abyssinia was invaded by Italy in 1935 under Fascist leader, Benito Mussolini. He wanted to boost Italian self esteem following their defeat by the Ethiopians at the Battle of Adowa in 1896. He also wanted to emulate Hitler's plans to expand Germany.
The invaded Africa because Benito Mussolini's fascists occupied those countries. Then they invaded Italy to remove Mussolini from power and take out Hitler's ally in Europe.
