The Anglican Church , later known as the Church in England actually started in Jerusalem about 33 AD. It arrived in Britain according to Archbishop Dorotheus, Archbishop of Tyre and others approximately the last year of Tiberius Caesar usually estimated about 37 AD. It wasn't referred to as the Church in England till about 700ad. About that time Beda published his history of the Ecclesia Anglicana, translated at my college as Church of the English! Church in England or Church of England!

Hope this helps!
