In "Treasure Island," Jim Hawkins takes a small, valuable piece of treasure from Captain Flint's chest, specifically a gold doubloon. When Ralph told the assembly of boys that they were on an island, "like in a book" various boys called out.. "Like Treasure Island, Swallows and Amazons, The Coral Island." As Swallows and Amazons doesn't take place on a tropical island the other two were much more apt.
The movie was set in Port Royal, Jamaica. Some of the movie's opening scenes were shot in Santa Lucia. The Curse of the Black Pearl was set on the Isla de Muerta, a fictional island where the Aztecs' treasure was hid. On Stranger Tides had some scenes in London and the rest were set in Florida where the Fountain of Youth was said to be.

Ben Gunn's Cave: Jim's adventures lead him to Ben Gunn's cave, where the treasure is ultimately found. Spanish America: The Hispaniola makes a stop at a port in Spanish America on the journey back to England. Back to Bristol: Jim returns to Bristol with his share of the treasure at the end of the story.
"The Treasure of Lemon Brown" by Walter Dean Myers takes place in the fall season. This is evident from the description of the cool air and leaves falling from the trees in the story.
