One of beautiful Russian women online told me that everybody in Russia assume that it's China.
I heard that Russia is synonymous with the bear. See the cover of one of the magazines (Time magazine?) during the Olympics that Russia boycotted -- Russia is depicted as a bear, and I think the bear had taken a bite out of the olympic symbol. (BTW, I hear England is represented by the lion, and the U.S. by the American eagle or a Uncle Sam.)
An eagle, snake, bear, or a lion would be a few examples.
Perhaps an eagle or bear. Mountain lion, definetely. Wolves?
