Why doesn't Israel hand Gaza to the Egyptians?
There are several reasons why this cannot happen 1) Israel cannot just 'hand Gaza to the Egyptians' as it is currently under Palestinian/Hamas rule. Israel disengaged from the Gaza strip in September 2005, and it has been under Palestinian rule since then. First under Fatah, and subsequently Hamas. 2) The Gaza strip is not an occupied territory that belongs to Egypt 3) The Egyptians do not want to control the Gaza strip 4) The Palestinians want an independent country that include TheGaza strip and the West Bank and they don't want to be ruled by the Egyptians

"Just" from whose point of view? Israelis say that they are justified in trying to stop the Hamas rocket attacks. Israel did not have any war with any "Palestinians"; the recent clash was between Israel and the terrorist group of Hamas that usurped the power in Gaza and, supported by another terrorist group called Islamic Jihad, was shooting rockets on Israeli cities. In the course of the clash, Israel destroyed the stockpile of Hamas/Islamic Jihad rockets, annihilated a group of bandits´leaders and seriously reduced hamas/Islamic Jihad capacities of going on attacking Israel. Until Hamas and Islamic Jihad recover from the strike, they will respect the ceasefire. But as soon as they think they are strong enough, they will resume their attacks, as Hamas leader ismayl Hanyia has declared just two days ago. This scenario repeats for the fifth time already: Hamas , weakened by the Israeli counter-strike, signs the ceasefire- and violates its terms as soon as it recovers from losses. They will do it again.

It is not just a paramilitary organization, but it also has a political wing, a welfare wing, a police corps, an educational division, and healthcare division.
