In order to become a dental hygienist, you must be accepted to and graduate from an accredited dental hygiene school.
In addition to a curriculum heavy in the life sciences, such as biology, chemistry, anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, and pathology, you will log many hours in clinical practice as you develop your clinical skills providing preventive and periodontal therapies to patients. You will also have to complete the core graduation requirements of the college or university.
In addition to earning the degree, you will also be required to pass a comprehensive National Dental Hygiene Board which covers almost all of the subjects you covered during your studies. Furthermore, each state has specific requirements for licensure as a dental hygienist. Most require some sort of practicum as well as a written exam covering the state laws regarding dental hygiene practice.

Chemistry definitely and biology would be very helpful. Some recommend that you take the 'college' track to prepare you for college.
you should talk to your councilor at school they are good for all kinds of good stuff. if you are really interested in being a dentist you should look in to internships and maybe a magnet school

To become a family dentist one would be wise to start in high school by taking all the biology, chemistry, physics, health and mathematics courses available. After high school then one genuinely completes eight years of college and dental school studies to obtain a degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) Additional tests are then required to obtain state licenses.
The courses you take in high school don't really matter much when studying to become a pediatrician. It takes an additional 11 years of schooling after the completion of high school to become a pediatrician so you will have plenty of time to take required courses then. In high school you should focus on courses you like and that you can get good grades in. A good GPA will help you to get into a better college, which may make it easier to become a doctor.
