Russians start the celebration of Easter with an Easter breakfast or meal. The Russian Easter service may be attended even by those families that do not regularly attend church. Russian families also decorate eggs and create customs for celebration.

There are many customs and traditions in Greece. It is a custom in Greece for a man to ask permission from a woman's father and family before asking her to marry him. Another tradition is to go to Church on the evening of the Saturday before Easter. Another custom is to spit in order to get the devil and evil away from you.
