No...I don't think they would work as dance shoes...although I wear them in gym class alot.
There are many places online to find shoes. Dance shoes are one of the hardest though. Going to Discount Dance online though is probably the best. Looking online first can give you better deals in the end.
I find that the VERY BEST way to break in hard shoes is to wear them around the house ( a lot! ) and to dance in them. I tried Vaseline, but it didn't help.
