Many of them occurred starting on July 16, 1945 (Trinity) and continuing through 1963. Can you be more specific?
More American above-ground nuclear test explosions happened during this decade than any other during the Cold War.
Yes, explosions can occur in space, but they differ from explosions on Earth due to the absence of atmosphere. In space, explosions can happen in a vacuum and are often driven by chemical reactions, nuclear reactions, or the rapid expansion of gases. For instance, supernovae are massive stellar explosions that occur when a star exhausts its nuclear fuel. However, the lack of air means there is no sound to accompany these explosions, and the energy is released in different forms, like radiation.
Very unlikely. Also neither were nuclear explosions:Chernobyl was a massive steam explosion in the cooling system, and Japan was a combination of steam explosions and maybe hydrogen/oxygen explosions. The nuclear releases in both cases were due to breaches of the containment by these explosions. If they had been nuclear explosions many miles from the plants would have been leveled and that did not happen.
explosions happen because there is a chemical called acid that makes it explode
Nuclear explosions on the sun, like nuclear fusion reactions, happen in the sun's core which is extremely dense and covered by many layers. The energy produced from these explosions must travel through these layers before reaching the sun's surface and then space, which is why we cannot hear them on Earth. Additionally, sound waves cannot travel through the vacuum of space.
There are a number of ways to generate a tsunami including Earthquakes, Volcanic Eruptions and other underwater explosions (including detonations of underwater nuclear explosions), landslides and other mass movements, meteorite ocean impacts or similar impact events, and other disturbances above or below water. So yes it is possible for a tsunami to happen in the Atlantic.
That depends almost entirely on what you want do do. There's a huge spectrum of effects that can be made in after effects-- Everything from nuclear explosions to text animations. Did you happen to have anything particular in mind?
Probably not. If anything, nuclear explosions should have a cooling effect, because they send so much junk (soot, ash) into the atmosphere. It stays up there for a while, blocking light from the sun. This is the feared "nuclear winter" that would happen if a major nuclear exchange occurred. Volcanoes have a similar effect, but it takes quite a large eruption to have a noticeable effect.
Heck to the no! Nuclear explosions are eminent! This is a very unknown peice of information known to Americans. Get all of the sulfur out of your homes and dig a hole to live in. Rumor has it this explosion will happen on December 23, 2012
Nuclear waste can not case an explosion is it's spent form. Once a reactor is done with Uranium rods as fuel they are put into lead lined containers and transported to spent fuel storage. A nuclear reactor can explode from hydrogen build up in the containment vessel, this is due to the reaction going on in the steam generation process, this does not happen in nuclear waste storage facilities.
