Conscription was used in World War 1, when men wouldn't join the army the Government used conscription as a way of making men join. They had absolutely no choice.
Patriotic fervour.
hello
It was bad idea for America to join World War 1 because of the impending war spending that would severely damage the economy. Also, the loss of men to war casualties would lead to labor unrest.
They sent a white feather. It implied cowardice.
Conscription is another word for the draft. Men were required to join the military/navy or RFC and serve.
On of the famous women of world war two was the lady on the poster named rosie. She was the one who encouraged men and women to join the force.
The pressure from women during World War 1 was mainly to get men to join the Army where they would be taken to France to fight in the dismal trenches so the only men left in Britain were too old, physically unwell or a Christian. the pressure women put onto their husbands or boyfriends was to join the army otherwise they did not love them, forcing the men to join otherwise they would be thought of as a coward.
i think women wanted to join the civil war because since men started to die women started to join:)
It is the act by which the government persuade young men to volunteer and join the army, navy and air forces.
He sed it wouldnt be as bad
There was a huge rush of patriotic fervor when the war broke out. It was expected that young men would join up.
