The third season is not offical, more like a rumor being spread around. They are going to make a sequal though, called Code Geass Gaiden: Boukoku no Akito. It does not say when it will be published, however.

it depends on what u like if u like old anime and new anime mix pick gundam but if u like new anime but short pick code geass Also if you like a lot of meca action then you should pick Gundam. Code Geass though a meca anime tends to be more about plans then meca fights-though it still has them. I like Code Geass better.

I think it already aired on Adult Swim. Every Saturday, right after Bleach, around 1:00, 1:30, 2:00 o'clock at night is when Code Geass, all new episode/s (Sometimes it'll be two episodes instead of one) air.

When will be code geass r3?
Currently, there is no news regarding R3 from the company. It is however possible because code geass R3 is really on high demand from fans, it'll be better for the company to make it (more money) so it is possible. This is just my opinion, but it might take about 2-3 years (from the end of R2) until they might make R3 because I've noticed companies wait about few years until a new season of an anime.
