Abigail Smith Adams was born in Weymouth, Massachusetts on 11 November 1744. Her preserved birthplace is physically located at 180 Norton Street, North Weymouth. However, the original sight of the birthplace was 1-2 blocks away which is now called East Street. It is at this first location that John and Abigail were married on 25 October 1764. Her father, being the minister of The First Church of Weymouth, officiated at the wedding ceremony. This was Abigail's first address/home until her wedding day.
