The very first doctor who episode ever (in black and white) was called the unearthly child. Some of it can be watched on youtube but the entire episode is not available. Look for it on DVD if you are interested. If you were wondering about the first episode of the newer generation (the one started in 2005 with the 9th doctor), the first episode of this "sequal series" is entitled 'Rose'.
