A meeting of Congress in November of 1802 was to be for the purpose of discussing Ohio joining the Union, but a formal request for Ohio to become as state had not been entered at that time. Some people will debate that Ohio was granted statehood on November 29, 1802. Others might debate the day to be December 23, 1802.
