Best Answer

It was a Monday, as was the first day of the year for 1900.

1900 was NOT a leap year, even though 1900 is divisible by 4, as for years ending in 00, the first two digits must also be divisible by 4 (eg. 1600, 2000, 2400). January 1 (and 29) in 1901 fell on a Tuesday.
