To be a pediatrician, you have to complete medical school and earn a medical degree such as the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree, The Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree, or the Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree. Once you have earned a medical degree, you must then complete an appropriate pediatrics residency in order to be a pediatrician.
